Axial Flux Generator
Most iron core generators suffer from a cogging effect – the turbine start up is lumpy, and this prevents a smooth start up at low wind speeds. This wind turbine uses an air core generator, providing a smooth startup even in very low wind conditions.
Low Voltage Startup
The inverter provided with this turbine operates over a wider range than conventional inverters (from 50 - 80v), meaning that even at very low windspeeds power is still being generated.
Multi Power Point Inverter
16 programmable power points enable the optimisation of the power output over the entire working range of the turbine. The inverter also has a computer interface for monitoring if required and is EN50438 Compliant.
Maintenance Free
The generator of this turbine is sealed and is greased for its lifetime. The only inspection and maintenance that is required is to inspect the blades after five years and change after ten years.

Typically a full Grid-Tied tied installation costs in the region of £12,500, with a five-year manufacturers guarantee. This price includes the turbine complete with an 11.5m free-standing Galvanised Tower, Grid-Tie Inverter, Controller and all cabling required.
