The BWC EXCEL 10KW turbine was first introduced in 1983 and has been installed at over 1600 sites around the world, it is a very high quality 6.7 meter (22 ft) diameter machine designed for high reliability, low maintenance and automatic operation in adverse weather conditions.

		This turbine comes with the longest manufacturer’s warranty (10 years) in the industry and is manufactured by Bergey Wind, America’s leading manufacturer of wind turbines. This 10KW wind turbine is available in two main configurations, either Off-grid (battery charging) or grid-tied.  Off-grid Battery charging units can be supplied with outputs of 24, 48, 120 or 240 VDC and are ideally suited for remote agricultural businesses, villages, eco-tourism resorts, and factories and Tel Co/IP hosting sites.

Grid-tied, the 10KW wind turbine will provide electrical output sufficient to power a large family home, business or agricultural premises with consumption less than 14,000 KWH per annum.

The power output of a wind turbine is proportional to the cube of the wind speed, therefore a small increase in wind speed gives a big increase in output in KWH.

The all new GridTek 10 Inverter which has been developed by Bergey Wind is the most advanced in the industry and it carries a full UL certification to the latest utility standards. 

The Ewind 10KW turbines are often mounted on a visually appealing guyed lattice tower and are available in heights of 18 m (60 ft.) to 43 m (140 ft.).  Tilt-up versions of these towers are available for sites without crane access.   Non-guyed lattice type towers and monopoles (tapered tubular) towers are also available to heights of 37 m (120 ft) are available at additional cost.
